Burton Wins Headache Award
As determined by race fans, Jeff Burton is the winner of the Goody’s Headache of the Race Award due to a blown engine after 139 laps of Sunday’s Crown Royal 400 at Richmond International Raceway. As a result of the engine failure, Jeff Burton finished the race in 43rd place and dropped to fifth place in the championship points standings.
In Friday’s Circuit City 250 at Richmond, Virginia native Denny Hamlin earned the race’s Goody’s Headache of the Race after completing just 80 laps en route to a 41st place finish. Denny Hamlin had started on the pole and led the race’s first 20 laps.
Celebrating its 30th year in racing, Goody’s Headache Powders, the favorite pain reliever of race fans, presents the Headache of the Race Award each week to a driver from the weekend’s races. Both awards are given to the driver who experiences the worst luck or “biggest headache” during the races
